This item is a package of 10 western redbud seedlings. These seedlings are 5 to 8 inches tall and are from our 2011 crop. These seedlings are container grown and will be shipped in the container that they are growing in. The transplant success rate of our container grown stock is 100% if proper care is provided. The picture was taken on 10/13/11. The western redbud is native to California, Arizona, and Utah, but is predominantly found in the California foothills below 4,000 ft. The Sunset Western Garden Book rates the western redbud hardy to zones 2-24. The western redbud is a shrub or small tree, growing 10-18 feet tall and wide, usually producing several trunks from the base and is drought resistant once established.
