This package contains 1 jeffrey pine (Pinus jeffreyi) seedling from our 2011 crop. These seedlings measure 3 to 6 inches tall. Jeffrey pine zones are 2-9, 14-19 and H1. The jeffrey pine is native to the mountains of the far west from southern Oregon to Mexico and including western Nevada. The jeffrey pine grows to 170 feet in height. They have large cones to 12 inches in length. The trunks have furrows of bark that emit a vanilla odor. The jeffrey pine is prized for timber and makes a beautiful landscape tree because of its attractiveness in youth. The picture was taken on 10/13/11.
