Item E2: 3 VALLEY OAK SEEDLINGS

Quick Overview

3 valley oak (Quercus lobata) seedlings

Details

This package contains 3 valley oak (Quercus lobata) seedlings. These seedlings are 10 to 14 inches tall and are from our 2010 crop. These seedlings are container grown and will be shipped in the container that they are growing in. The transplant success rate of our container grown stock is 100% if proper care is provided. The picture was taken on 7/7/11. Valley Oak, (Quercus lobata), also known as the California White Oak, is native to the interior valleys, Sierra foothills, and Coast Ranges away from direct coastal influence. This is California’s mightiest oak, often reaching 70 feet or taller, with equal or greater spread. They have massive trunks and limbs with thick, distinctly checked gray bark, which is sometimes described at looking like alligator skin. This is a magnificent tree for shading a big outdoor living area. This tree is deciduous and will lose its leaves in the fall. This tree is recommended for zones 3b-9 and 11-24. This oak is immune to sudden oak death.
