This package contains 1 douglas fir landscape tree. This crop is presently 30 to 36 inches tall with trunks of 1/2" to 3/4" in diameter. These trees will be shipped in the containers that they are growing in and will arrive with roots intact. These firs are 3 years old. Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) spreads 20 to 30 feet in an erect pyramid in the landscape. It grows to more than 250 feet tall in its native habitat in the West. The douglas fir’s entire native range stretches from Alaska to the central California mountains and east to the Rocky Mountains. This species is the greatest of any commercial conifer of western North America. Douglas fir reaches its best growth on well-aerated and deep soils. The douglas fir is hardy in zones 1-10 and 14-17.
